The contract modification extends the existing agreement with Mobile Video Services to provide audio-visual, multimedia, and classroom support services for the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, for an additional three months from October 1, 2005, through December 31, 2005. The services include the creation of multimedia presentations, classroom equipment support, staffing for the self-help/graphics/media lab, and other related tasks. Mobile Video Services is considered the sole source provider due to their unique ability to meet the immediate needs without incurring costly startup delays. The Government plans to justify this sole-source action under FAR 6.302-2 and notes that the current modification is intended to ensure continuity of services while the competitive follow-on contract is being finalized. This contract is designated as a total small business set-aside with the NAICS code 512110, which relates to motion picture and video industries, with a size standard of $25 million. The solicitation for the follow-on requirement is expected to be available by September 26, 2005, on the Navy's procurement website. Interested parties may express interest or capability but are informed that this notice is not a request for competitive proposals, and the Government will not compensate for any responses received. The contracting officer for this action is Rocco H Siravo, and point of contact for related questions is Mr. Eric Hansen. The modification underscores the importance of maintaining uninterrupted support for educational and multimedia services at the Naval Academy during the contract transition period.
