Tactical Tomahawk Maritime Modernization

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) plans to award a Delivery Order under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement to Raytheon Missiles Systems (RMS) for the modernization of the Tactical Tomahawk Block IV All-Up-Round missile. This effort focuses on integrating advanced seeker technologies to enhance in-flight terminal and mid-course guidance capabilities in anti-access area denial scenarios, specifically targeting moving maritime threats. The scope includes prototyping, analyses, trade and feasibility studies, support equipment development, as well as the creation of architectures, algorithms, and hardware/software interfaces necessary for the seamless integration of these technologies into the missile system. Given RMS’s unique and longstanding role as the sole developer, designer, and manufacturer of the Tomahawk Land Attack Missile since 1994, and its exclusive possession of the technical data package and manufacturing documentation for the Block IV AUR, RMS is the only entity capable of meeting the technical and schedule requirements without incurring duplication costs. The sensitive nature of the missile’s export-controlled data restricts access to foreign entities, further emphasizing the necessity to rely on RMS for this contract. The work will be performed in Tucson, Arizona, with contract administration conducted by NAVAIR offices in Patuxent River, Maryland.
