The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has amended Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS-LAN-52926-R5 for the Southern California Edison Company as part of the Soledad Canyon Road Grid Resiliency Project in Santa Clarita. The original scope involved vegetation management, excavation, and grading for the installation and replacement of anchors at utility poles 1059470E and 1059471E, with temporary impacts covering 7.327 acres. The amendment modifies the project by rerouting access through Duane R Harte Park and the Santa Clara River Trail, which significantly reduces temporary impacts to less than 0.401 acre. Additionally, the amendment authorizes the removal of utility pole 1059471E and updates the pole replacement method to helicopter setting, with no further remediation required beyond the original agreement.
