Teaching Artist Institute Coordinator

The State Foundation on Culture and the Arts is seeking a contractor to manage and implement the Teaching Artist Institute in Hawaii, a professional development program designed for teaching artists on the SFCA Artistic Teaching Partner Roster as well as external artists. The selected coordinator will be responsible for all organizational and implementation aspects, including securing interactive speakers and workshops, managing travel and lodging logistics, and providing general support for the event. For the second consecutive year, the institute will focus on the intersection of arts education and health. Funding is provided to cover travel, accommodations, and meals for rostered artists, with a goal of extending financial assistance to non-rostered participants. This solicitation, identified as P27000385 and issued by the Department of Accounting and General Services for the State of Hawaii, requires responses by October 11, 2026. The contract is governed by the AG-008 103D General Conditions, which establish the legal framework for the partnership, including requirements for independent contractor status, nondiscrimination, indemnification, and compliance with state laws. Performance of the contract will take place statewide across Hawaii, with primary coordination handled by Danica Rosengren.
