The contract involves a comprehensive renovation and expansion of the ticketing level at an airport to meet future growth and operational demands, with a target opening date of December 2028. Key activities include renovating the existing interior space with new finishes, constructing new baggage handling and induction systems, and integrating innovative passenger flow technologies such as LiDAR and self-service bag drops. The project also encompasses relocating airline counters, expanding the ticketing area into adjacent spaces like the valet area and west quad deck, and upgrading wayfinding and signage systems to improve passenger navigability. Additionally, the scope includes evaluating and enhancing the HVAC system, verifying the structural integrity of existing infrastructure, and conducting simulations to optimize passenger throughput. Coordination with ongoing major capital projects, such as the Airside D and Baggage Security Screening initiatives, is essential to ensure seamless integration. The project emphasizes flexibility in design to accommodate future airline moves and technological advancements, with a focus on maintaining operational efficiency and passenger experience. The scope also involves curbside traffic analysis, repairs to building expansion joints, and ensuring the capacity of existing systems to support the expanded layout. The selection process for vendors related to baggage handling and self-service systems will occur during the design phase, with detailed scheduling to be finalized through negotiations. The contract is valued between 50 million and 150 million dollars, and interested respondents are directed to coordinate with the project contact, James Hanney, for further details.
