AI Contract Overview
The Naval Air Systems Command plans to modify contract N00019-25-C-0071 to award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee task to Raytheon Company for recertification and depot operations engineering support for the Tomahawk Cruise Missile in fiscal years 2026 and 2027. As the sole manufacturer with exclusive access to the missile’s current configuration and manufacturing data, Raytheon is uniquely positioned to address critical issues related to safety, performance, reliability, service life, and operational integration of the All Up Round systems. The work will be performed in Tucson, Arizona, with a twelve-month base period starting in September 2026 and an optional twelve-month extension. All technical data involved is subject to export controls and unavailable to foreign entities. While the notice invites capability statements from other potential sources, it explicitly states this is not a competitive solicitation and emphasizes Raytheon’s irreplaceable role due to proprietary knowledge and the need to avoid cost duplication. Responses must be submitted to Jordan Sabedra at the provided email address by April 14, 2026, and subcontracting inquiries can be directed to Melissa Arvayo.
