Traffic Control Products

The County of San Mateo is seeking qualified vendors to provide a comprehensive range of traffic control products on an as-needed basis through a blanket purchase order agreement. The scope of work includes the supply of traffic paints, epoxies, stencils, pavement markings, custom signs, message boards, sign posts, hardware, plastic traffic control devices, delineators, safety gear, apparel, barricades, parking safety devices, and heavy infrastructure such as guardrails. The contract term is established for three years, with an option to extend for a total of five years. Award decisions are based on the total bid price, and the County reserves the right to award the contract to more than one vendor. Vendors must ensure all products are new and in original manufacturer packaging, with a minimum one-year manufacturer warranty. Deliveries must be made FOB destination within three business days of receiving a purchase order. The selected vendor is required to appoint a primary account representative and a backup contact to manage inquiries and provide usage reports. Payment terms are NET 30, with final payment issued within 30 calendar days of invoice approval and completion of obligations. Proposers must submit their bids via the OpenGov portal by the deadline, including a W9 tax form, SAM report, and relevant certifications. Compliance with California Labor Code prevailing wage rates is required for contracts over 1,000 involving public work.
