Trafford Youth Cabinet

Trafford Council is seeking a provider to establish and manage the Trafford Youth Cabinet, a service designed for young volunteers aged 11 to 19 who live or attend school within the Trafford area. The contract has an estimated value of £75,000 for an initial one-year term running from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2027, with the possibility of 1+1+1 year extensions that could extend the service through December 31, 2029. The successful provider must facilitate weekly two-hour cabinet sessions and organize additional social activities or workshops as necessary. A critical requirement is the achievement of a minimum of 10 active, regularly attending members representing at least three different schools or three distinct areas of Trafford within the first three months of the contract. A central focus of this solicitation is inclusive and targeted outreach to ensure the cabinet's membership broadly reflects the diverse youth population of Trafford. The provider is specifically tasked with encouraging participation from various communities, including neurodivergent, SEND, and LGBT+ young people.
