K--Type 6 Wildland Light Engine Upgrade for Kirtland

The contract involves the construction and installation of two wildland fire vehicle packages on existing 2024 Chevy K5500 4x4 chassis provided by the AFWFB. The selected contractor will be responsible for outfitting these vehicles with fire-related equipment including pumps, generators, hoses, fittings, reels, storage compartments, control panels, suppression systems, compressors, valves, gauges, and other necessary components to transform the chassis into Type 6 Wildland Light Engines. This upgrade will enable these vehicles to function effectively in support of prescribed fire management and wildland firefighting missions.
