The 311th Human Systems Wing/PKBA, Brooks City-Base TX, intends to award a Sole Source Purchase Order to the University of Texas Health Science Center, 77036 Floyd Curl Drive, San Antonio TX 78229-3900. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for professional services prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a quote is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporate provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-09 (19 Apr 2006) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement change notice 20060412. It is the offeror's responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This acquisition is to provide consultation and clinical supervision of approximately 50 military mental health providers after the completion of a 3-day training workshop on evidence-bases treatment. Clinical supervision will be conducted using face-to-face supervision for providers located in the San Antonio TX area and telephone supervision will be used for providers located outside San Antonio TX. Supervision will begin for military mental health providers as they begin treating clinical cases (patients) at assigned medical treatment facilities. Some cases will be located in CONUS and others in O'CONUS including individuals deployed to IRAQ. The NAICS Code is 611310; size standard $6.5 million. The type of contract anticipated is firm-fixed price. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.
