The Idaho Air National Guard plans to award a sole-source contract to Harris Corporation for a specialized radio training course under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures outlined in FAR Part 13. This training, specifically for the AN/PRC-117F and AN/PRC-150 radios, includes operations and Level III maintenance instruction conducted at the customer's facility in Boise, Idaho. The course will involve one instructor over 15 days, covering CONUS training with support expenses such as travel, lodging, and meals included. The class will be limited to no more than 12 students due to the proprietary nature of the radios, which only Harris Corporation is authorized to provide training and certification for. The sole-source award is justified under FAR 6.302-1(a)(ii), affirming that Harris Corporation is the sole responsible source capable of fulfilling the requirement. Although this notice does not request a quotation, interested parties may express their interest within five calendar days of publication, and responses will be reviewed to determine whether competitive procurement might be suitable in the future. All inquiries must be submitted in writing to SMSgt Tracy Stephens, with no telephone inquiries accepted. Responses need to demonstrate clear and convincing justification for competition to be considered, but the government retains sole discretion on whether to pursue a competitive process.
