AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Government is seeking sources for leasing approximately 1,500 gross square feet of high-quality flex retail and related space in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area, specifically within zip code 70817. The current lease in a shopping center will expire, prompting consideration of alternative spaces that are economically advantageous while meeting specific requirements, including compliance with federal, state, and local building ordinances and Department of Defense force protection standards. The Government prefers an initial five-year lease with occupancy readiness by September 30, 2026. Key factors influencing the decision include relocation costs, tenant improvements, telecommunication infrastructure replication, and minimizing agency downtime. Interested parties are requested to submit expressions of interest containing details such as the building name and address, floor plans, digital street view photos, rentable and usable square footage per BOMA standards, rental rates per square foot including base and NNN charges, and common area factors if applicable. Responses must be directed to Amanda Gage at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Fort Worth, Texas, by June 15, 2026. This opportunity is classified under NAICS code 531120, linked with leasing and real estate, and targets sources capable of providing suitable leased flex space for the Department of Defense.

US GOVERNMENT SEEKS SOURCES FOR LEASED RETAIL AND RELATED SPACE
The U.S. Government currently occupies retail and related space in a shopping center under lease in Baton Rouge, LA, that will be expiring. The Government is considering alternative space if economically advantageous and is seeking to lease approximately 1,500 gross square feet of existing high quality flex space, in the Baton Rouge, LA area, specifically in zip code 70817. The ideal space would fit the following: building specifications in compliance with all federal, state and local ordinances; force protection standards in compliance with Department of Defense’s Unified Facility Criteria; outfitted with either designated or open parking.
