The Federal Bureau of Prisons Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the provision of a Unarmed Guard Service for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution Seagoville, located in Seagoville, Texas. The Guard Services will be provided for FCI Seagoville inmates while in DFW MetroPlex area hospitals or clinics for treatment and recovery. It is anticipated that this RFQ will result in award of a single contract that shall consist of a 12 month base period, and the possibility of four 12 month option periods. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. Award will be made to the responsible quoter who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government. The estimated number of sessions is 35,000 for the base period, and for each of the possible four option periods. A session is defined as one hour in duration. The solicitation will be available on or about November 04, 2014 and will be distributed through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website.
