The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) is conducting a series of one-on-one meetings with industry representatives to facilitate early information exchange in support of refining the Universal Cryptographic Device (UCD) concept. These meetings are scheduled to continue through February 2006 and aim to gather industry insights and feedback to shape the development process effectively. Following the completion of these meetings, SPAWAR plans to release non-proprietary questions and answers along with a Request for Information (RFI) package, inviting stakeholders to participate in an open forum industry working group to further collaborate on the UCD initiative. This effort is part of the Department of Defense's Naval Information Warfare Systems office, located in San Diego, CA, and aligns with Federal Acquisition Regulation guidelines. The UCD refinement process involves engagement with industry early on to ensure the concept meets operational and technical requirements. Interested parties seeking more details or wishing to participate are encouraged to contact Mr. David Chesnut for additional information. This proactive approach underscores the government's commitment to fostering industry collaboration in developing advanced cryptographic solutions.
