AI Contract Overview
The United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine requires two Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometers (ICP-MS) for use at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, with the Air Force Research Laboratory intending to award a sole source purchase order to Agilent Technologies, Inc. under the NAICS code 334516. The sole source justification is based on Agilent being the original equipment manufacturer and the exclusive developer of the required MassHunter software, making it the only vendor capable of fulfilling the technical specifications outlined in the Minimum Requirements Document dated 29 July 2026. This action is authorized under RFO 12.102(a), and while no competitive bidding is currently planned, the government is soliciting capability statements, quotations, or exceptions from other responsible sources to determine whether competition is feasible. All submissions must be emailed to Jason Sav at jason.sav@us.af.mil no later than Friday, 15 August 2026 at 5:00 PM Eastern Time, with the subject line precisely formatted as “Notice of Intent to Award SS – Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS)”. Attachments must be in .PDF, .doc, .docx, .xls, or .xlsx format only; .zip or .exe files will be filtered out and deleted. Failure to follow these instructions may result in submission non-receipt.
