Ventura West Marina Redevelopment Project

The Ventura West Marina Redevelopment Project, managed by the Ventura Port District under solicitation number 0511.010, involves the replacement of waterside docks and slips on Parcel 17 of Ventura Harbor at 1198 Navigator Drive, Ventura, California. The project focuses on installing environmentally sustainable dock systems while maintaining the existing dock footprint. Key infrastructure improvements include the installation of new docks and pilings, the addition of an ADA accessible gangway, electrical charging infrastructure, and the creation of public areas for launching non-motorized vessels such as kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. Recent project modifications were implemented to enhance navigational safety and flow, including the removal of side ties along the easterly portion of the marina and relocating the pump out station to Dock 400 at the south end of the 63-foot side tie slip on the west side of the dock. These design changes resulted in a reduction of the total number of slips from 379 to 353, while the average dock size increased from 35.90 to 36.39 linear feet. The project has complied with the California Environmental Quality Act, with notices of determination confirming that the redevelopment will not have a significant environmental effect.
