OBJECTIVE
Contract the services of an audio recording company to:
• Provide bilingual recording engineer/session director, coordinator (English and French) and capacity for bilingual quality assurance in both languages;
• Review supplied videos and podcasts and make casting recommendations
• Coordinate studio recording
• Provide services of professional voice actors
• Prepare scripts for recording in both English and French
• Provide creative direction of voice recording in both English and French
• Deliver clean, edited tracks to enable synchronization of tracks
• Administrate payroll for voice actors
Public Affairs Branch (PAB) of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada produces approximately 130 original videos and podcasts per year. The videos require professional recording of narration and second language voice-over (dubbed) audio tracks, mostly in French and some in English. Some require full voice services in both languages. These videos typically range in length from one to five minutes and require one or more voices. The podcasts episodes are typically 20 to 30 minutes long and usually consist of one or two interviewees. Voice services are sometimes required for voice-overs (dubs) of the interviewees.
Although it may vary from year to year, approximately 70% of the work in this contract entails the recording of voice talent in French. The remainder of the work is English.
