Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling District- Auditing Services

The Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling District is seeking proposals from qualified auditing firms to provide third-party auditing services over a three-year period, covering fiscal years ending December 31, 2025, 2026, and 2027. The district, serving more than 86,000 households across multiple municipalities, aims to uphold compliance with Utah state law, state auditor requirements, and current accounting standards. The selected firm will be responsible for annual audits of financial statements, ensuring adherence to Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) guidelines and generally accepted auditing standards as set by both the AICPA and the Government Auditing Standards of the U.S. General Accounting Office. The audit provider must also present audited statements to the Board of Trustees and offer consultation throughout the contract term. Submissions are to be sent to the district’s Midvale, Utah office and must include several required documents: a confidential statement form, certificate of non-collusion, E-Verify compliance certification, IRS W-9 form, at least three active client references, a standard contract, and a separate cost proposal. Bidders are expected to demonstrate significant experience in governmental audits. Questions regarding the RFP are due by October 20, 2025, and proposals must be submitted by November 3, 2025, with evaluations completed by November 21, 2025.
