Full Description

The Volusia County Solid Waste Division operates the TFRL and the WVTS. Whole waste tires are received at both locations from residential and commercial entities. The waste tires include passenger, light truck, and tractor-trailer, tires and tires up to 11R24.5. Oversized tires, including, but not limited to, loader and tractor tires are also received. The County uses best management practices to separate passenger and light truck tires from oversized tires on-site. The County requires processing of both rimmed and de-rimmed tires. On average, the County receives approximately two thousand (2,000) tons of waste tires annually but makes no guarantee as to the amount or weight of waste tires received annually. This number is an estimate only and in no way represents a guarantee of future expenditures.
