Wastewater Treatment Plant - Supply of Sludge Dewatering Centrifuge

The Town of Okotoks is soliciting proposals for the design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation support, testing, and commissioning of one Sludge Dewatering Centrifuge System for its Wastewater Treatment Plant. The equipment is intended to replace an existing unit and must be capable of processing blended primary sludge and thickened waste-activated sludge. The project requires the supplier to provide a dewaterability test report and shop drawings sealed by a Professional Engineer licensed in Alberta. The system must be of a skid-mounted design using corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel, fiberglass, or plastic, with all stainless steel components chemically passivated. The Town also reserves the option to purchase one additional centrifuge system under the same terms and conditions within twelve months following the successful completion of performance testing for the initial unit. The procurement process, identified as RFP 26-118, utilizes a weighted scoring system based on total contract price, technical proposal, lifecycle cost, schedule, warranty, and relevant municipal experience. Mandatory requirements for the successful proponent include maintaining a Certificate of Recognition (COR or SECTOR) recognized by the Province of Alberta, being in good standing with the Worker's Compensation Board, and meeting specific insurance requirements with deductibles not exceeding 5,000 dollars. Delivery is specified as DDP to the Okotoks Wastewater Treatment Plant. The contract includes a two-year warranty and requires a fifteen-day formal performance test upon commissioning. Payment is structured via a defined schedule with a 30-day payment term following the issuance of a Certificate of Acceptance by the Town Representative.
