Water Treatment Plant Communication Line

The California Department of Parks and Recreation, Ocotillo Wells District, is implementing the Water Treatment Plant Communication Line project at Heber Dunes SVRA in Imperial County, Holtville. The primary objective is to replace an unreliable Wi-Fi data recording system at the Water Treatment Plant with a hardwired connection to the park's main office. This infrastructure improvement is classified under NAICS code 237130 and is categorically exempt under Class 1, Section 15301 of the CEQA Guidelines as a minor utility system improvement. The scope of work requires the excavation of a trench in the maintenance yard approximately 46 feet long, 1 foot wide, and 1.5 feet deep. A 3/4-inch PVC electrical conduit will be installed within this trench and subsequently covered with native backfill and base material to ensure the area mirrors the surrounding environment.
