Watertight Door

The contract calls for the delivery of three 26-inch by 66-inch weathertight steel doors with right-hand swing, two dogs, a hasp and staple, and no fixed light, manufactured in strict accordance with USCG Drawing FL-1602-89. Each door must be individually packaged in a 4x4 skid-mounted open-type wood crate constructed to ASTM D6880 Class 2 standards, utilizing Phillips head CRES screws, and designed to prevent warping, shifting, or damage during shipping and long-term storage. All packaging and shipping costs must be included in the item price and not billed separately. The doors must be marked per MIL-STD-129R with the NSN 2040-01-615-9742, part number FL-1602-89RH, contract number, quantity, and Condition A designation, and barcoded using Code 39 symbology per ISO/IEC-16388-2007. A Certificate of Conformance, attesting to compliance with General Note 7 on the USCG drawing, must be affixed to each shipping crate in a waterproof envelope or bag to prevent loss during transit. The doors are to be delivered FOB Destination to the U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center in Baltimore, MD, with final acceptance resting with the Government upon inspection at the receiving location. The contractor is responsible for all quality assurance prior to shipment, and no on-site USCG inspection is required. The solicitation is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 332321, with proposals due by July 7, 2026, and must comply with applicable FAR clauses including Buy American, prohibitions on sourcing from covered entities, whistleblower protections, and contractor ethics requirements.
