Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of Weather and Climate Station Data from Synoptic Data PBC as a sole source because of the uniqueness (design, capability, nature) of the goods and/or services, the contractor being the single provider of the goods and/or services, and the contractor being the only provider able to meet critical parameters or timeframes to support the research and/or business needs of the university. Minimum specifications for weather and climate data must include availability of temperature, precipitation, humidity, and solar radiation. Time step of the data must be hourly or better. Data must be available via an API that allows OSU to retrieve the data in a timely manner and must be compatible with our data retrieval system.
