The objective of this notice to secure services to include construction of bridge(s) on the Angeles National Forest, with appurtenant earthwork and structures. Work includes, but is not limited to: Bridge Construction: Contractor shall furnish all labor, supplies, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation to construct the bridge, as shown on the drawings and specifications. Option 1: Site Design for accessible ramp from day use area to north abutment: Contractor shall design an accessible approach (including wheelchair ramp and any required retaining walls) from the adjacent day use area to the north abutment of the bridge to be constructed in the base contract. Option 2: Construction of accessible ramp from day use area to north abutment: Contractor shall construct the accessible approach described under Option 1 above, either from drawings and specification generated by the Contractor under Option 1 of this Contract, or drawings and specifications provided by Angeles staff. This solicitation is anticipated to be 100% SET-ASIDE for SERCIVE-DISABLED VETERAN OWNED Businesses. ANY OFFEROR WHO WISHES TO TO PARTICIPATE WILL BE ASKED TO VALIDATE THEIR BUSINESS STATUS. The solicitation release date will be 25 MAY 2011. PROJECT LOCATION: is at the West Fork Day Use area on the San Gabriel River Ranger District.
