Title: Wharf Repairs, Bailey’s Brook, Pictou County, Nova Scotia Scope: The work covered under this contract consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and selected material for Repairs to Wharf Structure 403 and Improvements along Launching Ramp Structure 502 Bailey’s Brook, Pictou County, Nova Scotia. The General Terms of work includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following items: • Mobilization and Demobilization. • Sitework, demolition, excavation & removal of existing timber materials including steel sheets as indicated. • Load, supply and installation of new treated timber cross bracing. • Installation of steel pile clamps. • Supply and installation of new treated timber wales. • Installation of new treated timber fenders. • Fabrication and installation of new treated timber ladder. • Installation of new treated timber retaining wall. • Supply, fabrication and installation of new treated timber crib #1. • Supply, fabrication and installation of new treated timber crib #2. • Supply, fabrication and installation of new treated timber crib #3. • Installation of utility pole including 200x200mm post. • Supply and installation of 200mm SDR pipe. • Load, supply, level-in-place and grade approved type I gravel. • Load, supply, installation of approved rip rap. Familiarization with Site: Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit the site and its surroundings to review and verify the form, nature and extent of the work, materials necessary for the completion of the works, the means of access to the site, severity, exposure and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account of error or negligence to properly observe and The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by February 14, 2025.
