WILD IRIS FINAL CSO

The WILD IRIS Final Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) is a Department of Defense solicitation issued by the United States Space Force’s System Delta 80 Small Launch and Targets Division, under agency code FA8818, to identify innovative commercial launch service providers capable of supporting upcoming target launch missions. The acquisition is structured under the R-DFARS 212.70 Defense Commercial Solutions Opening framework and utilizes commercial procedures to award contracts for innovative products, technologies, or services that enhance the reliability and repeatability of target launches. The primary performance location is Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a required launch rate of two to three launches per week and an emphasis on maximizing both production availability—ensuring sufficient launch vehicles are ready—and day-of-launch availability—ensuring launches occur at scheduled times. This is a no-set-aside acquisition, open to all qualified U.S. commercial providers who can demonstrate compliance with the Commercial Space Act of 1998, Title II, Public Law 105-303, and maintain active SAM registration and certification in the Defense Logistics Agency Joint Certification Program. Offerors must provide a CAGE Code and submit a one-page response to the generic CSO referencing “RSLP Targets,” using 11-point font and one-inch margins, with submissions limited to unclassified and non-proprietary information unless otherwise marked and protected under a Non-Disclosure Agreement. The detailed CSO, containing full technical, administrative, and evaluation requirements, will be provided exclusively via DOD SAFE to respondents who request it and who have verified their status as U.S. Commercial Providers. Requests for the detailed CSO must be submitted immediately to the primary point of contact, Alicia Cawley, and include the requester’s name, phone number, and email. All responses to the detailed CSO are due no later than June 22, 2026, at 1500 Mountain Time, with no extensions permitted. The Government will not compensate respondents for any information submitted in response to the generic CSO, and all submissions are voluntary.
