Woolridge Widening Bundle

Chesterfield County, Virginia, has issued solicitation IFB27000074 for the Woolridge Widening Bundle project. The scope of work involves widening approximately 2.15 miles of Woolridge Road between Genito Road and Old Hundred Road to include two lanes in each direction, a raised median, turning lanes, a west-side Shared Use Path, and an east-side sidewalk. Additional construction requirements include the reconstruction of the signalized intersection at Genito Road and Woolridge Road, the creation of hybrid roundabouts at Watermill Parkway and Simonsbath Drive, and the development of a partial-displaced left turn innovative intersection at Powhite Parkway and Woolridge Road. The project also includes approximately 1175 feet of the Powhite Parkway extension and the installation of a triple 60 inch culvert. Deliverables encompass all clearing, grading, concrete flatwork, asphalt paving, drainage structures, and permanent stormwater management features. Bids must be submitted by November 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. local time via the County's eProcurement system or as a sealed hard copy delivered to the Lane B. Ramsey Building. To be eligible for the contract, traffic contractors must be on the current VDOT pre-qualified list at the time of the bid opening. A non-mandatory virtual pre-bid conference was scheduled for October 1, 2026.
