The Department of the Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SSC LANT) intends to acquire proprietary source code for the Xtendable Server software from DefenseWeb Technologies (DWT) on a sole source basis. This notice is specifically a notice of intent and not a request for proposals, so no competitive solicitation will be issued. However, responsible parties interested in providing this service may submit a written expression of interest by February 13, 2012, by 2:00 PM EST for the government to consider whether a competitive procurement might be warranted. The government reserves the sole discretion to proceed without competition based on these responses. The contract negotiator for this requirement is Adam W Christopher, who can be contacted via email. The acquisition falls under NAICS code 541511, with a small business size standard of $25 million. The initiative highlights the government's intent to maintain continuity for essential medical support programs by securing continued access to proprietary software capabilities.
