Full Description

This presolicitation notice is for the construction and delivery of replacement Drydock Caisson #3 for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS&IMF). This forthcoming solicitation is a 100% set-aside for small businesses under NAICS 336611. The location of consideration for construction of replacement Drydock Caisson #3 will be restricted to the WEST COAST. Sources will NOT be required to hold, or be qualified for, an Agreement for Boat Repair/Master Ship Repair Agreement (ABR/MSRA) as prescribed in DFARS Part 217.7100. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about 28 May 2008. This RFP is expected to request past performance information from potential offerors. This past performance information will be due to PSNS&IMF, CODE 1200, ATTN Carolyn Seim approximately two weeks later on or about 11 June 2008. Proposals will be due one month later, on or about 09 July 2008. The work includes complete construction and delivery of t! he Drydock Caisson #3, and incidental related work. The projected period of performance is from the date of award to the estimated date of delivery, 18 Feb 2010. The RFP, when issued, will be available by written request only.
