Y1DA--NP Refurbish Audiometric Suites

The contract involves a turnkey refurbishment of three Audiometric Suites at VAMC Northport, NY, which collectively contain six individual booths. The vendor is responsible for supplying all materials, labor, equipment, and products required to remove existing acoustic panels, carpeting, and trim, then install new fabric-encased acoustic panels, carpeting, and trim to restore or improve the audiometric efficacy of each booth. The project must be completed within three consecutive working days, including one weekday and two weekend days, with work hours coordinated to minimize disruption to ongoing patient care. Proper removal, preparation, and disposal of debris are mandated, along with maintenance of safety standards and adherence to all VA facility security protocols. All materials and workmanship must meet strict acoustical, fire safety, and installation specifications, including compliance with ASTM and NFPA standards, ensuring the booths deliver specified noise reduction and sound absorption levels. The contractor must submit detailed product data and shop drawings for approval prior to work commencement and maintain all work areas clean and secure throughout the project. Additionally, the contractor must have a minimum of five years' experience with IAC audiology booth refurbishment, provide warranties covering parts and labor, and ensure no adverse impact on facility operations or patient safety during and after the refurbishment. The VA will facilitate field measurements and coordinate work authorizations, while the contractor bears responsibility for all damages, material storage, and onsite conduct, ensuring a complete and compliant refurbishment within the performance period.
