Reading Island Paving Repairs

BLM Redding Field Office requires pavement rehabilitation at Reading Island Campground. Reading Island Campground is a high-volume use area that offers numerous recreation opportunities for hunting, camping, hiking, boating, picnicking, and wildlife viewing.
The parking lot and site road have extensive cracking and full-depth pavement failure with unsafe shoulder drop-off. They were last paved over 30 years ago. The site road and parking lot exhibit fatigue cracking, potholes, and structural degradation. This project will perform targeted full-depth repairs, and a two-lift asphalt overlay to extend service life and improve safety.
The period of performance for this requirement is 60 days after notice to proceed.
The BLM will issue a Total Small Business Set-Aside competitive solicitation near early to mid-June 2026. The BLM anticipates issuing a single firm fixed price award from this solicitation. Davis Bacon Act (DBA) is applicable, and the appropriate DBA Wage Determination(s) will be included in the solicitation. The Magnitude is Between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
