The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research to identify qualified vendors capable of repairing a damaged OTIS elevator at the Dayton Veterans Affairs Medical Center, located at 4100 W. 3rd St, Dayton, Ohio. The elevator, serving the two-story Fisher House (Building 425), sustained critical damage during a lightning storm, resulting in a non-replaceable I/O board requiring repair and a damaged CPU that must be replaced with a new unit. All work must be performed by OTIS-certified technicians and must comply with the ASME A17.1 Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators. The repair process includes packaging and shipping the faulty I/O board to an authorized facility, installing the new CPU, reassembling the system, performing full functional adjustments, and conducting a fire recall test to ensure compliance and operational safety. This is not a solicitation for proposals, nor does it obligate the government to award a contract; responses are used solely for planning and sourcing purposes. Interested parties must provide their company name, address, point of contact with phone number, SAM Unique Entity Identifier, proof of OTIS certification, and any applicable government contract vehicle information such as a GSA FSS number. Responses must be submitted via email to Brian.Rosciszewski@VA.gov by June 30, 2026, and must include all requested documentation to be considered. Respondents are not guaranteed notification of outcomes, and no costs incurred in responding will be reimbursed. Eligibility for future contract awards requires SAM registration.
