This procurement will be issued as a 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) through RFP procedures under FAR 15 and other FAR Parts and Subparts as applicable. The Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System (SLVCHS) New Orleans, Louisiana has a requirement to design and build (Design/Build) a project to Correct Miscellaneous HVAC issues. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to Design and Build (DB) a project to address multiple HVAC issues identified in the Research Building 8 (Section P) Level 5, Diagnostic and Testing Building (Section F & G) Level 5 and Transitional Living & Rehabilitation Building 6 (Section M3) Level 3. Work may include but is not limited to the following: addressing roof penetrations from ductwork and various leaks associated with the impacted exhaust fans, installing service platforms for maintenance access to Mechanical equipment, etc. The tentative date for issuing the RFP is on or around May 8, 2020, with proposals due approximately 30 calendar days later on-or-around June 9, 2020 (the RFP will state the exact time/date that proposals are due). The anticipated contract award date is approximately 30 calendar days or less after receipt of proposals. The Contract Performance Period is 180 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Location of the work is as following: Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System Network Contracting Officer (NCO) 16 2400 Canal St, 2nd floor Central Energy Plant (CEP) Building New Orleans, LA 70119. NAICS Code 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction) is applicable to this RFP and the Small Business Size Standard is $39.5M. The Construction Cost Range for this project (Magnitude of Construction) is between $250,000 and $500,000.
