Contractors must obtain specified supplies or services from mandatory sources identified in the contract schedule, as required by the clause at 52.208-9.
Overview
FAR 8.005 requires contracting officers to include the clause at 52.208-9, "Contractor Use of Mandatory Sources of Supply and Services," in solicitations and contracts where contractors must provide supplies or services for Government use that are listed on the Procurement List maintained by the Committee for Purchase From People Who Are Blind or Severely Disabled. The contracting officer must also specify in the contract schedule which supplies or services must be obtained from a mandatory source and identify the specific source.
