The 436th Contracting Squadron is planning to award a sole-source contract to FMC Technologies for the procurement of a Right Front-handrail/walkdeck assembly, part number 623-6100, specifically for the NGSL 25K Loader Walk deck and rail parts. This decision is made under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation provision that allows for a single-source award when only one source is reasonably available. Submissions must be concise, clearly documenting the firm’s qualifications, and be sent via email by December 19, 2007, no later than 12:00 PM. The government emphasizes that this is not a solicitation for proposal or a commitment to pay for information received, and no contract award will be made solely based on these responses. The purpose of collecting this information is to aid the Contracting Officer in assessing capable sources before proceeding with the sole-source award if no viable alternatives are identified post-deadline. All responses must be emailed to the designated Contract Specialist, Christina Chung, with a size limitation of five megabytes per email. If no capable sources respond by the specified deadline, the Contracting Officer will proceed with awarding the contract exclusively to FMC Technologies.
