1891 Effie Street - 34.5kV Conduit Line Extension

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power is preparing to extend a 34.5 kilovolt line by installing three underground vaults and approximately 2,000 feet of conduit to support a new customer in the Echo Park neighborhood. The project will begin on Glendale Boulevard between Effie Street and Berkeley Avenue, proceed south to Berkeley Avenue, turn southeast along Berkeley Avenue to Lake Shore Avenue, and then continue northeast along Lake Shore Avenue to terminate at 1891 Effie Street. The vaults consist of one measuring 9 feet 7 inches by 17 feet 7 inches on Glendale Boulevard and two larger vaults measuring 8 feet by 22 feet each on Lake Shore Avenue. All pavement disturbed during construction will be restored in accordance with the Caltrans Right-of-Way encroachment permit’s Typical Cross Section Trench Detail to ensure compliance with state standards. The project is forecasted for future deployment with no solicitation number or set-aside provisions currently designated.
