19--Intent to Sole Source 24' net boat

Solicitation No. F14PS01335 Region 3, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to sole source a requirement reference FAR 6.302-1 for one (1) new Oquawka Boat Model 2472 Flat Bottom V-Bow boat, Oquawka Model 2472OB Steel Painted tandem axle trailer and boat equipped with an installed Yamaha 150HP outboard engine F150XA for the Columbia Missouri Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office (Columbia FWCO), Columbia, Missouri. This equipment will be used as experimental gear development to capture Asian Carp and other Aquatic Invasive Species throughout large rivers and other bodies of water in the Midwest. Columbia FWCO requires a 24 net boat with maneuverability and capacity to haul large numbers of fish and serve as a tender boat to handle the catch from the Paupier/mammou trawl boat. Oquawka Boats & Fabrication, Inc. offers a Model 2472 Flat Bottom V-Bow with square nose, 25 deep sides/side ribs, 25 transcom with 100 beam, 4 weep deck made of .125 thick aluminum diamond plate and .125 diamond treadplate floor that will allow Columbia FWCO employees to safely perform their duties while conducting Asian Carp and other aquatic invasive species assignments. Another critical requirement is a hydraulic no feedback steering system. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336612. This notice of intent is not a request for quote.
