Solicitation # 36C25727Q0063

The Department of Veterans Affairs, through the Network Contracting Office VA South Texas, is conducting market research to establish a procurement strategy for the lease and maintenance of Rotoprone Therapy System beds for the VA North Texas Health Care System in Dallas, Texas. These specialized beds are critical for treating patients with acute pulmonary complications, such as acute respiratory distress syndrome, by providing automated prone therapy to improve oxygenation and reduce mortality. Additionally, the equipment provides air-fluidized therapy for advanced pressure redistribution to treat complex skin wounds, burns, and pressure ulcers. The scope of work includes the provision of all labor, equipment, supervision, and expertise required for the short-term lease and maintenance of these systems, which must be performed by qualified personnel using approved tools and replacement parts. This sources-sought notice, under NAICS code 532490, aims to determine if the requirement should be a sole source, unrestricted, or a set-aside for small businesses, with a particular interest in Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses and Veteran Owned Small Businesses. Interested vendors must provide their business details, SAM UID, and estimated market research pricing by November 2, 2026. A critical requirement for all respondents is the provision of documentation proving they are an authorized dealer, distributor, or reseller of the Original Equipment Manufacturer, as the VA will not accept gray market items. This action is currently for informational and planning purposes and does not constitute a formal solicitation for offers.
