2025 Christmas Parade

The 2025 Christmas Parade is an annual one-day community event organized by the City of Avenal, California, scheduled for December 6. The event aims to celebrate the holiday season and strengthen community bonds through a parade and a subsequent tree lighting ceremony. The parade is set to begin at 4:30 p.m. at the corner of King Street and 1st Avenue, traveling east along King Street, northeast along Skyline Boulevard (SR 269), north along 7th Avenue, and concluding at Merced Street. Following the parade, a tree lighting event will take place, with all festivities expected to conclude by approximately 8:00 p.m. To facilitate the event, temporary street closures will be implemented from approximately 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. affecting King Street between Laneva Boulevard and Skyline Boulevard, Skyline Boulevard between Central Avenue and Kern Street, 7th Street between Skyline Boulevard and Merced Street, and 6th Avenue between Skyline Boulevard and Madera Street. All affected streets are scheduled to reopen by 10:00 p.m. The project has been granted an exemption from California environmental regulations under classes 1, 4, and 23, as the event is temporary and expected to have a negligible environmental impact.
