2026 MXO Spark Tank Special Notice

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) issued Special Notice DARPA-SN-26-73 to announce the Multi X Office (MXO) Spark Tank event, taking place November 2-4, 2026, at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile in Chicago, Illinois. This in-person event is designed to familiarize prospective proposers with the MXO mission and its three primary thrusts: establishing beyondCMOS foundations for resilient systems, advancing tools and processes for indigenous domestic development to strengthen industrial resilience, and exploring new modalities for sensing, computing, and communicating. The event will feature presentations from MXO Program Managers and leadership, with opportunities for participants to engage in fifteen-minute sidebar meetings for technical discussions or position opportunities. Registration opens on August 10, 2026, and must be completed via the designated Cvent portal by October 18, 2026, as no on-site registration will be available. All attendees must provide government-issued photo identification and submit a 500-word text-only capability summary without graphics at the time of registration. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), this notice is issued solely for information and program planning purposes and does not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals; therefore, responses are not offers and cannot form a binding contract. All event discussions and submitted materials must remain unclassified and free of ITAR-controlled or proprietary information, and DARPA will not reimburse any costs incurred in responding to this notice.
