27-014 Conduit & Wire Installation Phase 4

The City of Albany is soliciting sealed bids for the Conduit and Wire Installation Phase 4 project, identified as bid reference 27-014. The contract is for a lump sum agreement to provide all labor and equipment necessary to install approximately 16,200 linear feet of 1 to 2 inch HDPE primary power conduit between transformers using the directional bore method at a minimum depth of 3.5 feet. The scope includes installing galvanized sweeping 90 degree ells, #1/0 15 KV primary wire, and terminating the wire with #1/0 load break elbows. While the City of Albany will provide all power infrastructure and wire termination materials, the contractor is responsible for all labor and equipment. The successful contractor must provide a 5 percent bid bond and 100 percent performance and payment bonds. The contract includes a one year warranty on all work and liquidated damages of one hundred dollars per calendar day for failure to complete the project within the stipulated timeframe. Compliance with Georgia law is required, including E-Verify registration and a drug-free workplace certification. Final payment is subject to a rigid inspection and written acceptance by the City, with payment terms set at Net 30.
