1. Introduction:

This is a Sources Sought issued for conducting market research and identifying potential sources. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), or an Invitation for Bid (IFB). No solicitation is being issued at this time, and this notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract.


The purpose of this notice is to identify potential vendors, including small businesses, capable of providing a custom-built Bumper Pull Enclosed Trailer for the 38th Rescue Squadron at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. 2. Requirements:


The Government is seeking a custom-built trailer rated to carry a minimum of three thousand pounds (3000lbs) of support equipment for dive operations. Equipment includes 20 scuba tanks, two air compressors, various dive weights and clumps, various underwater search equipment, various dive maintenance tools, 15 BCD's, freshwater dip tank, individual dive equipment for approximately 15 personnel.


The electrical load for the trailer (50 AMPS) must be enough to run two A/C units, electric compressor, charge various batteries for U/W search equipment, charge various batteries for comms equipment, and lights.


Enclosed Bumper Pull Trailer; nominal dimensions 8.5' x 32' or equivalent interior volume.


Minimum 8' interior height with a minimum 7'6" clear opening height at the ramp door.


Spare tires and wheels


Interior Spare Mount x 2 - Bogey Wheels


 Minimum 15" x 18" access door (fiber, composite, or non-conductive material) to support external cable routing for dive site operations.


Base cabinet


Two (2) Air Conditioning Units minimum 15k BTU


Wire and brace for two (2) Air Conditioning Units


Kick plates on walls and cabinet


E-track on walls, two (2) rows


Durable, waterproof, and non-slip flooring to protect the Trailers subfloor from water damage and heavy diving gear

Sufficient LED lighting (back up, loading, Dome, Flood, Red clearance lights) with switches in multiple locations for the LED lighting


External power inlet/motor base plug rated for a minimum of 50 Amps.

Sink and toilet Bathroom with Connections; Operational sites will vary, plumbing needs to mirror that of an RV bathroom to allow water and waste holding tanks so that facilities are available as needed.
