This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. FAR Subpart 13.5 will be used. The solicitation number is N00178-09-R-1045 and is issued as a request for proposal. The Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCDD) intends to procure on a sole source basis from a Cisco authorized reseller the following: CLIN 0001, a quantity of twelve (12), Catalyst 3750 switches (part number WS-C3750G-24TS-S1U); CLIN 0002, a quantity of twelve (12) Intrusion Protection System 4255 (part number IPS-4255-K9). These components have been configured and tested to meet form fit and function for the upgraded Peripheral Control System. FOB Destination to Virginia Beach, Virginia applies, with a delivery date of not later than 15 July 2009. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code associated with this procurement is 423430 and the FSC is 5810. The small business size standard is 100 employees. This procurement is set-aside for small business under NAICS 423430. Proposals will only be accepted by authorized partners/resellers for Cisco Systems. Award will be determined on technical acceptability, delivery, and price.
