The U.S. Census Bureau plans to award a follow-on contract to Fibergate Inc. for the continued maintenance of existing leased dark fiber cable segments, along with the potential installation of additional dark fiber lines as needed. This action is taken under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and follows the expiration of the current contract on October 1, 2005. Although this announcement is not a solicitation for proposals, the Census Bureau invites interested parties to submit evidence demonstrating their technical capabilities, pricing, and ability to meet the Bureau’s requirements.
