FEDBIZOPPS Special Notice VA-248-12-P-0191 The Department of Veterans Affairs, West Palm Beach Medical Center intends to procure on a sole source basis with the large business company, Medtronic Spinal and Biologics at 710 Medtronic Parkway, LC 110 Minneapolis, Mn. 55432-5604 This procurement is for a purchase contract to provide Dorsal Stimulators Devices to the VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach, Florida Surgical Department. The method of procurement shall be a firm fixed price contract for the procurement stated herein. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code shall be 423450. This request is to replace existing devices which are of the same brand name of Medtronics equipment which no other source can provide. The proposed contract action is for purchasing and the Government intends to procure with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302 and FAR 15.308. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Interested parties that believe they can meet these needs must supply information about their capabilities to the point of contact, along with supporting evidence no later than 12:00PM EST, 11/14/2011. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This award will be made using commercial acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR PART 12. The anticipated award date is 11/14/2011. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
