Scope:
The Department of Veterans Affairs Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System is seeking a contractor to provide therapy chairs equivalent to the PINESTAR Injection/Resting Chair Model 214-210 and a blanket warming cabinet equivalent to the PINESTAR Model PTI-750 to ensure stable, appropriate seating for patients receiving injections or needing supervised rest during inpatient and outpatient procedures. Both the therapy chair and blanket warmer cabinet are provided for patient comfort during the Nuclear Medicine procedures.

NOTE: Potential quoters must be aware that the items being acquired are procured as Brand Name or Equal. For those items that are or equal , a description of the salient characteristics is outlined below. It is quoter s responsibility to demonstrate its quote meeting the salient physical and functional characteristics included in this solicitation. If the quote does NOT demonstrate, the offer will be considered non-responsive. The interested parties bear full responsibility to ensure their submission demonstrates to the government that they can satisfy the requirement by providing the brand name or equal to the supplies being requested.
Salient Characteristics
Therapy Chairs: Must be designed for the patient to sit upright during medical injections and to recline in three different reclining positions after injection to provide patient comfort for long resting periods. Must provide a minimum of three different recline positions and feature an infinitely adjustable back. Must offer deep recline and Trendelenburg positions. Must have a release handle that spans the entire width of chair back. Must have a minimum of four (4) total lock and directional steel locking casters. Must have side panels that are removable for transferring to a wheelchair or for cleaning. Must have a weight capacity for 450 500-pound patients. Must meet AB2998 flammability requirements.
Blanket Warmer Cabinet
Must hold a minimum of 25 blankets to provide patient comfort. Door must be fully gasketed closure with a magnetic closure. All chamber surface temperatures must be monitored, providing an efficient balance of heat, low energy consumption, and minimal heat loss.
