Full Description

The United States Department of Education (ED) intends to make a sole source award to Onix Networking located in Westlake, OH for the purchase of Google appliance renewals which is required to support the Google search engine on the Department's intranet site. This action will be conducted in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b), soliciting competition. The purchase will include GB-1001-500K-STD for a quantity of two (2) for a renewal term of 7/25/2006 - 7/24/2008. Without the purchase of the Google appliance renewals, Department employees will not have the Google search option available when using the agency's intranet site. Market research was conducted and found that Onix Networking is the exclusive authorized reseller for the Google appliances and is the only company who can provide this product on the GSA schedule. Onix Networking is the only authorized reseller for the Google appliances and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive offers, however the Government will consider all quotes received by the posted response date. All vendors wishing to respond to this notice shall do so electronically to thurl.frazier@ed.gov. Responses are due by noon on the submission deadline.
