70 -- Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement to Liebert Global Services

The Defense Reutilization & Marketing Service intends to award a sole source contract to Liebert Global Services for the renewal of annual maintenance on existing Liebert Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS). The contract will have a 1 year base period with 4 each 1 year options. The equipment must be maintained with Liebert parts and technology which is only available directly through Liebert Global Services. Award to be made to Liebert Global Services, however performance of the service to be completed by a local, authorized Liebert representative. This is a special notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source available, and no other suppliers or services will satisfy agency requirements. However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 7 days from the date of publication of this announcement. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated, however a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Defense Reutilization & Marketing Service will proceed with awarding a firm-fixed price contract to Liebert Global Services.
