70 -- Peace Corps Seat Mgmt Price Validation

The Peace Corps has engaged Northrop Grumman Commercial Information Services to provide computer hardware, software, network, and system administration support under a task order associated with a GSA Seat Management contract, initially awarded to Federal Data Corp. To ensure the best pricing for these products, the Peace Corps plans to conduct a series of reverse auctions for different hardware and software configurations. Vendors, particularly those holding GSA Schedule 70 contracts, are encouraged to register and participate through a private and confidential reverse auction platform at www.fedbid.com. The agency reserves the option to either purchase the products directly through these reverse auctions or use the price information gathered as confidential market research to negotiate more favorable terms with the current Seat Management contractor. This approach is designed to leverage competitive pricing while maintaining flexibility in procurement strategy, in compliance with relevant Federal Acquisition Regulation guidelines.
