71--Special Notice: Intent to Sole-Source

The Connecticut Air National Guard intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to UNICOR Office Furniture Group, 320 First St N.W., Building 400, Washington, D.C. 20534; to provide office furniture for the 103rd Logistics Readiness Squadron in East Granby, CT. This procurement is for additional office furniture and systems that are already in place. Office area is already furnished with the UNICOR Classic XXI product line. Expansion of the same system is required. This intent to sole source is a direct follow on to the sources sought that was posted on Sep 12, 2014. In the absence of qualified sources, a contract will be awarded under the Other than Full and Open Competition procedures, pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Telephonic inquires will not be accepted. This is not a request for competitive proposals. The decision not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must provide clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. All qualified source must respond in writing no later than 12:00 PM (EST), September 25, 2014. Contractors must have a current registration with System for Award Management (SAM) with Online Representation and Certifications Application (ORCA) at http://www.sam.gov.
